A.M. Ortega Construction, Inc. has proudly served as one of Southern California’s premier Underground Utility Construction providers for over 40 years. Our team has successfully completed over 9,000 projects since 1974. At present, A.M. Ortega has 2 central office locations and 3 additional dispatch yards. Our workforce consists of over 300 field employees specializing in underground dry utilities. Our office and administrative team consists of approximately 50 accounting specialists, estimators, project managers, administrative professionals, and senior management roles. Our Paving & Grading Division, based out of the Lakeside Corporate Headquarters, supports pipeline and conduit projects throughout our service area. In addition, our Fleet Maintenance Department is fully staffed with mobile and shop based mechanics.

At A.M. Ortega, we are committed to maintaining stellar construction crews led by highly experienced personnel who are well versed in a variety of cost-effective solutions for all of your underground utility needs. Our Field Crews are comprised entirely of men and women represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local Union 47 and Local Union 569, and the United Association Union of Plumbers, Fitters, Welders, and Service Technicians, Local Unions 250, 345, 460 and 469. A.M. Ortega crews are prepared to take on dry utilities construction projects from the generating station to the customer house connection anywhere in the Southwest.
